The gear I always travel with

Camera Bodies
Sony A7 V
My current main camera. Reliable autofocus, great low-light performance, and flexible enough for both photo and video while traveling.
Sony ZV-1
A small, simple camera that’s easy to throw in a bag. I used this a lot when I wanted something lighter and didn’t want to overthink settings.
Nikon D750 (currently set aside)
My first full-frame camera and one I used for years. Fantastic image quality and incredibly dependable, but not ideal for video.
Sony ZV-E10 (Mark I) (currently set aside)
I loved this as a dedicated video camera. Once I upgraded to the A7V, I no longer needed it in my regular rotation.
Video, Action Cameras, and Drones
DJI Osmo Pocket 3
One of my favorite travel tools. Tiny, stabilized, and perfect for walking shots, city footage, and casual vlogging without drawing too much attention.
DJI Osmo Nano
Ultra-compact and fun to use. I bring this when I want POV clips or unique angles without carrying full-size gear.
Insta360 X4
My go-to for creative shots and travel moments when I want something more immersive and playful.
DJI Mini 4 Pro
Lightweight, powerful, and travel-friendly. This is the drone I trust for high-quality aerial shots while staying relatively compact.
Lenses
Tamron 28–75mm
My most versatile lens. It handles everything from street shots to portraits and stays on my camera more than anything else.
Sigma 16mm
Wide, sharp, and great for landscapes, architecture, and tighter spaces. This is my main lens for talking head videos.
Nikon AF-S 24–120mm f/4 G VR ED
A flexible zoom lens that served me well on the Nikon system. Practical range and consistently dependable.
Nikon AF-S FX NIKKOR 50mm f/1.8G
A classic portrait lens that’s lightweight, sharp, and great in low light.
Accessories
Peak Design Camera Bag
My usual camera bag. Comfortable, spacious, and stylish. It took a little while to get used to, but it checks almost every box for me.
Peak Design Tech Pouch
This holds everything I somehow can’t live without. I didn’t bring it to China at first and immediately regretted that decision.
Peak Design Travel Tripod
Lightweight, sturdy, and thoughtfully designed. Easy to carry and quick to set up, especially while traveling.
Phone Tripod
By far my favorite phone tripod. Easy to use, stable, and great for quick setups.
Ulanzi MagSafe Phone Mount
One of my best photography purchases. Makes filming with my phone faster and more comfortable.
DJI Mic 2
These are the mics I use most often. Clear audio, reliable connection, and easy to grab when filming on the go.
DJI Mic Mini
I originally bought the Mic 2 set, but I’ve loved using these as a lighter, more portable option.
Sony Mic Adapter
Cables are annoying. This small tool makes using my DJI mics much easier and cleaner.
Insta 360 Flow Pro 2
A great starter tool if you don’t have other video cameras. Pair it with your iPhone and you can get surprisingly good shots.
Manfrotto PIXI Mini Tripod
Tiny, sturdy, and easy to throw in a bag. Perfect for low-profile setups or stabilizing smaller cameras.
